During periods of peak grid demand (heatwaves, cold snaps), miners can voluntarily and instantly power down, selling their pre-purchased energy back to the grid to stabilize it. Furthermore, the waste heat from mining is being productively used in district heating systems for communities and in industrial greenhouses. This symbiotic relationship with the energy sector is transforming Bitcoin mining's public image from environmental villain to a catalyst for grid stability and renewable development.
